Weather Happy are a new UK alt/rock duo delivering instantly-compelling alt/rock with crunchy, mathy undertones and lyrical depth. They recently had an incredible time in the studio with producer and musician Rod Jones (Idlewild) and their debut EP Moth is due for release on 23rd October.
Having been friends since they first picked up their instruments, ex-BERRIES front woman Holly Carter (vocals, guitars) and drummer Harry Carter have an unmatched songwriting and performing chemistry. Aside from sharing a surname, the pair also share a love for spikey, wonky rhythms, creating the perfect mix of fuzzy yet intricate guitar lines, driving drums and powerful melodies.
Their debut single It Leaks Out is a song about masking and bottling up negative thoughts and feelings until they inevitably find a way out. The ‘“corridors”’ featured in the song represent the journey and impression those feelings make on and around our bodies with the constant need and pressure to reassure everyone that everything is fine.
